Staff Selection Commission has invited applications for its Junior Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Quantity Surveying and Contract) examination, 2014. Interested and eligible candidates are required to send in their applications before March 28, 2014.
Vacancy details:
  • Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical) in CPWD and Department of Posts,
  • Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical) in Border Roads Organisation (BRO) of Ministry of Defence
  • Junior Engineer (Civil & Mechanical) in CWC and Farakka Barrage  
  • Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity Surveying and Contracts) in MES

Eligibility criteria:
Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical), CPWD: The applicant must hold a diploma in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from an institution recognized by the Central Government or equivalent qualification.

Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical), Department of Posts
: The applicant must hold a diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an institution recognized by the Central Government or State Government
Junior Engineer (Civil)/ Junior Engineer (Electrical and Mechanical), Border Roads Organisation: The applicant must hold a diploma in Civil Engineering/ Diploma in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent from a recognised University or Institute
Junior Engineer (Civil)/ Junior Engineer (Electrical and Mechanical)/ Junior Engineer (QS&C), MES: The applicant must hold a degree in (Civil Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) from a recognised University Or a Diploma (Civil Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) from a recognised Institute or University or Board and two years experience in Planning, Execution and Maintenance of Civil/ Electrical or Mechanical Engineering works.
Junior Engineer (Civil & Mechanical), CWC and Farakka Barrage: The applicant must hold a degree or diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University or Institution
Application fee:
Candidate is required to pay an application fee of Rs 100 through State Bank of India either in the form of Challan or through SBI net banking. Women applicants and candidates eligible for reservations are exempted from payment of fee.

Selection process:
The applicants will be shortlisted  for the mentioned posts on the basis of their performance in the written examination and Interview.

  • Part-I Registrations end on: March 26, 2014 up to 5.00 pm
  • Part-II Registration: March 28, 2014 up to 5.00 pm
  • Last date for foreign candidates: April 4, 2014
  • Date of Examination: May 25, 2014
